Danny bought his first Yashica when he was 14. He immediately acquired a taste for it. During the eighties and nineties, he focused on windsurfing photography. Armed with a homemade underwater camerahouse, a Pentax Super1, a pair of flippers and an orange helmet he faces the elements to shoot some of the best action shots of this spectacular sport. The call him ‘Dakani’ (Impossible) from then on. He publishes his pictures in magazines and makes documentaries and trip reports. Mom and dad did not want him to study photography so he spent most of his youth on a surfboard and in the dark room.
He traded in the Pentax for a Nikon and the surfboard for a motorbike. This adventurous fellow started travelling around the world on a motorbike or by jeep to take pictures of the most beautiful places in Europe, South Africa, Tanzania, Zanzibar, Zimbabwe, Australia, Costa Rica, Thailand, Myanmar, Jamaica ….
Every journey becomes the theme of a photo book printed in limited copies.
