What do you want to be when you grow up?

“Everything”

"What do you want to be when you grow up?"

A question we were all asked as children—repeated endlessly until it became a source of stress.
Stress about making choices, about getting it wrong.
A physiotherapist? A firefighter? A world traveler?

But why or? Why not and?

Society tells us we must choose one path and master it. There’s little room for multiple passions, for those who crave variety, who thrive on exploring different worlds.

Yet my life has been shaped by countless passions—sometimes one after the other, often all at once. Sometimes in harmony, more often in creative chaos.

Just like these stories a collection of bold adventures and small anecdotes, of near-disasters and laugh-out-loud moments.

Stories laced with humor, entrepreneurship, and a thirst for the extraordinary—so much so that you might feel as though you've just read the memoirs of a 150-year-old eccentric.

I've always chased extremes, always needed multiple challenges at once—because choosing just one? That would mean surrendering to routine, to predictability.

The stories aren’t chronological. They are a patchwork of stories, woven together by quotes and brought to life with images from our travel archive.

Tales of a firefighter, windsurfer, police officer, entrepreneur, 4x4 instructor, photographer, event manager, software developer, reserve officer, circuit racer, biker, world traveler, DJ, bartender, surfboard builder, drone pilot, handpan player, wakeboarder, jet ski pilot, snowboarder, motorhome builder, presenter, overlander and more.

A fusion of adventurepreneur and multipotentialite—a creative chameleon.

The African Jetraid: 1,800 km of relentless endurance along the coast and backwaters of Senegal and Mauritania.
